Shropshire Council's deputy leader, Ian Nellins described the works at the gyratory area as "critical" and said they are part of plans to improve the town for the future.

Work that resumed today (Monday) includes the continuation of paving works alongside the introduction of new signs, posts, permanent traffic signals and street lighting.

The county council said this would involve setting up temporary traffic signals to enable work to be safely carried out outside the former Antonio’s barbers.
