The complex work to repair windows and restore the loved building began in October last year.

The scheme costing nearly £17,000 has seen windows that date back to the early 1800s replaced or repaired.

A spokesperson for Market Drayton Town Council said windows that have already been removed are set to be reinstated this week.

Scaffolding is also due to be installed at the site next week so works can be completed and remaining windows can be repaired or replaced.

The town council spokesperson added that a completion date for the works is unknown, and said: "Working with windows of that age is challenging and throws up all sort of little problems".
