Councillor Marcia Morgan in a report to the town council said she visited the Christmas Fayre at the Hotel Metropole on November 24.

“I spoke with the stall holders who told me that they had enjoyed a successful weekend. There were so many lovely things to buy so I did some Christmas gift shopping. There was also beautiful singing and a great festive atmosphere.”

A few days later she visited the Foodbank to drop off the Christmas toiletries which she chose to purchase instead of sending official Christmas cards.

Councillor Morgan said: “Donations to the Foodbank continue to be low. Volunteers have been collecting in the foyer of Tesco.

“I then popped in to visit the Bracken Trust Christmas Fayre, held at the St Francis Centre, Holy Trinity Church to enjoy the beautiful singing and the stalls.”

She said as she was writing the report she was looking forward to Llandrindod Wells festive celebrations and expected it to be busy but great fun, the start of a magical Christmas for all, she hoped.

She wished everyone a happy and successful New Year.
