'One man has been climbing down to clean the sewer out!' Shropshire villagers speak out on flooding
Calls have been made for Severn Trent Water to replace sewage systems in a Shropshire village after residents met to discuss ongoing flood issues and share their experiences.

Locals in Hadnall near Shrewsbury and from surrounding areas gathered at the village hall for the 'Hadnall village flooding and sewage meeting' which was organised by local vicar and campaigner Paul Cawthorne.
The meeting aimed to highlight concerns about the village's flood plain, the capacity of existing infrastructure, and concerns for potential further housing development before upgrades to sewage and flood prevention systems are completed.
Mr Cawthorne said Hadnall has been prone to periodic flooding after heavy rainfall, and said residents shared experiences including sewage reflux, not being able to drive along Painsbrook Lane or between Hadnall and Astley Lodge due to flooding.
At the meeting on Wednesday (January 15)Mr Cawthorne added: "There is one guy it turns out who has been climbing down to clean the sewer out. Loads of stuff came out [at the meeting]."
Mr Cawthorne said he was pleased to see developers Cameron Homes attend the meeting.
