The gates, which stand at the entrance to the historic former manufacturing site on Whitchurch Road, originally proudly displayed the letters 'Sentinel Waggon Works'.
The name comes from the original occupiers of the site, Sentinel Manufacturing, which opened in Shrewsbury way back in 1915.
Some time after the factory was taken over, possibly when Rolls Royce became the owner of the site, the original metal lettering was removed from the gates - likely because it no longer represented the firm inside.
It was replaced with wooden replica lettering in around 2015, but now, as the site starts its new life as home to a number of businesses, its owner has had the original metal lettering replaced, and put back in pride of place.
