Shaun Rawlings, aged 38, had admitted downloading 25 of the most serious category A images, 11 category B images, nine category C images along with an extreme pornographic image and one prohibited image when he appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday.

He also admitted sending images about child abuse to a Kik social media user before the court.

However, Debra White, defending, said that Rawlings' offences occurred following the death of his partner and the social media messages had been sent to her account following her death.
