Telford sex offender spared jail after hiding criminal history from new partner and her children
A Telford sex offender who hid his conviction from a new girlfriend has been spared jail after failing to notify police he had stayed in the same property as her children.

Michael Crook's new partner dumped the 56-year-old when a police officer visited her home and told her of his past, a court heard.
Crook, of Park Lane in Madeley, had been convicted of two sex offences at Worcester Crown Court in June 2020.
As part of that conviction, Crook was ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely and was obliged to notify police if he ever spent more than 12 hours in the same place as a minor, prosecutor John Oates told Shrewsbury Crown Court on Friday.
