Eyton & Wellington WI celebrates its 75th birthday
Eyton & Wellington Women’s Institute is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year.

Originally founded in Eyton during 1950, the WI now has a membership of more than 50 members who meet at The Belmont Hall in Wellington.
Alongside a series of monthly meetings featuring guest speakers, members can participate in arts and craft events as well as cookery and a book club.
Eyton & Wellington Women’s Institute even has its own darts team, a lunch and supper club as well as their own ukulele band.
Celebrations to mark their 75th anniversary throughout this year include day trip outings, a celebration lunch, and a big birthday party.
Residents are being encouraged to join the women's institute.
A spokesperson said: "New members are always welcome at meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm in The Belmont Community Hall, just off New Street in Wellington.
"Visitors are welcome to just turn up or you can get more details by emailing EytonandWellingtonWI@gmail.com to find out more about the variety of activities on offer and the benefits of joining the WI."
