Police clock motorist driving at 55mph in 30mph zone in speed enforcement operation near Oswestry
Police officers have issued 17 speeding tickets to motorists and caught a driver travelling at 55mph in a 30mph zone.

Officers from Oswestry Rural South Safer Neighbourhood Team worked in collaboration with West Mercia Police's Motorcycle Team today (January 21), carrying out a speed enforcement operation.
Police issued 17 speeding tickets and caught a motorist driving 25mph over the speed limit.
A vehicle was also seized and reported because the driver had no valid tax, MOT or insurance.
A post on the force's Neighbourhood Matters page said: "Officers from Oswestry Rural South Safer Neighbourhoods Team have today been working in collaboration with West Mercia Police Motorcycle Team, carrying out a speed enforcement operation in the Knockin, Maesbury and Trefonen areas. The initiative focused on monitoring speed compliance in your rural area.
"During the operation, the highest recorded speed was 55mph in a 30mph zone, with a total of 17 speeding tickets being issued.
"These efforts aim to improve road safety and address community concerns about speeding in residential areas."
