Discount retailer hopes work will begin on new Telford supermarket 'in the coming weeks'
Supermarket giant Lidl is hopeful work will soon begin on its new store near Telford town centre.

Lidl first submitted a planning application for a new supermarket on a plot of land between the Old Park Roundabout and Rock Road in August 2021, eventually securing that permission in April 2023.
The following January - claiming the application had spent so long in the system that the trading guidelines had changed - the company applied to make the store bigger and new designs were submitted.
