It emerged in December that the owners of the Atcham-based pub wanted to add a new car park across the River Severn, due to the popularity of the venue.
The proposal submitted to Shropshire Council explained that parking has been an issue at the venue since it was bought and reopened by Brunning and Price - due to its popularity.
The application requested permission to create the car park in a field across the river from the pub, with customers able to park, then walk across Atcham Footbridge to get to the venue.
The car park would be monitored by an automatic number plate recognition camera and would be accessed from the B3480, with an immediate left turn into the car park.
