The Love Oswestry Winter Festival of Arts and Culture returns between February 17 and 22.
The week-long and much-loved celebration, which is now in its fourth year, promises to be bigger, brighter, and more exciting than ever.
Last year, more than 3,000 people joined in with the festivities, and this year’s event is hoping to break records with an even more diverse and engaging programme.
From Monday, February 17 to Friday, February 21, participants of all ages can dive into an inspiring range of free and pre-bookable creative workshops aimed at aspiring artists, budding writers, or any residents who are looking for a fun activity with the family.
Youngsters can explore their creative and acting talents at 'Drama Mask and Puppet' workshops while families can enjoy hands-on fun at the 'Family Clay Play'.
Photography enthusiasts can also relish the opportunity to join Rob Kirman - the Love Oswestry Villages Project artist - for a one-hour street photography workshop capturing the heart and soul of the border town.
Meanwhile, nature lovers can explore the sensory delights of the OsNosh Garden, connecting with the environment, listening to the mud, touching the air, and smelling the trees.
The festival culminates in a day-long celebration on Saturday, February 22 that will feature music, tours, and interactive activities across Oswestry, and be topped off by the spectacular 'Lantern Parade Grand Finale'.
The Lantern Parade will feature a host of magical street performers including an enchanting 'Snow Queen' stilt walker, the mesmerising 'Bubble Fairies', and a spectacular fire breather.
Leading up to the festival, families can take part in lantern-making workshops which are taking place on selected dates throughout January and February and the night sky will light up with residents' handmade creations.
Other exciting activities on the Saturday include a screen-printing workshop at Designs in Mind and jewellery crafting at The Factory’s pendant-making session.
Teens can express themselves through creative writing sessions at Oswestry Library or children can make some noise at the family-friendly drumming workshops.
History and culture enthusiasts can enjoy a guided tour across the town, starting at the Market Hall and stopping by the Memorial Hall for the Love Oswestry Villages Project creative workshops.
