The Edgmond Village Hall team have issued a warning that they will soon be unable to host functions and events if they can't rally together some more committee members.

Volunteers took to social media to plead for a "minimum of two" new committee members to help take bookings, help out at functions and occasionally staff the bar.

A spokesperson for the hall said: "The hall is at risk of not being able to be run properly for events and functions. This will lead to not having any in the very near future if we don't get help within the next eight weeks.

"We need a minimum of two committee members by March else we are in serious trouble. We are absolutely desperate for committee members, we can't stress how much they are needed.

"Please, if you can give up one hour of your time each month and be able to help out at functions on the odd occasions, take bookings, bar work on occasion. You don't even have to live in the village to be a member."

Those able to help out are asked to email booktheevh@gmail.com or attend the committee's next meeting at 7pm next Wednesday (February 5).
