A man has appeared in court charged with aggravated burglary and making threats to kill after an incident in Telford last night (Sunday, February 2).

Forklift truck driver David Preece, aged 39, was charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm and threatening a person with an offensive weapon after the incident in Matlock Avenue, Dawley.
Preece, of Acocks Green, Birmingham, made no plea to the charges at Kidderminster Magistrates Court and the case was committed to Shrewsbury Crown Court, where he will next appear on March 3.
