Racially aggravated assault charges for women over 'incident' at Whitchurch restaurant

Two women have been charged following a racially aggravated incident in Whitchurch last month.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Tillie Smith, 23, of Copthorne Road in Shrewsbury has been charged with racially aggravated common assault and racially aggravated public order.

"Eileen Kirby, 35, of High Street in Albrighton has been charged with two counts of racially aggravated common assault and one count of racially aggravated public order.

"The charges are in relation to an incident at a restaurant on Brownlow Street in Whitchurch on January 13, 2025."
