Plans were in place for the popular tourist attraction, and the smaller picnic boat, to be lifted from the River Severn by a 250-tonne crane over to Frankwell car park for cleaning and maintenance this week.
However, the task has had to be rearranged due to water levels being too high for the boat to fit under the Welsh Bridge.
It will now go ahead on Thursday, February 20.
The bi-annual boat lift has become a popular spectacle in the county town over time.
Dilwyn Jones, managing director of Sabrina Tours, said: “This event has become something of a spectacle for Shrewsbury locals, who enjoy seeing the boats out of the water.
“We’re excited to welcome everyone back on board soon."
The Sabrina’s boat tour season is due to start on March 1.
