A request to place a bench in a Builth Wells park in memory of loved family members, has been agreed by the town council.
The council recently received a request to place a bench on the Groe near to Swingy bridge in memory of Audrey and Bert Thomas, who lived at Pendre all of their lives.
Their grandchildren made the request to the town clerk.
Builth Wells Town Council members said they were not against the idea of the bench but they would need to go and look at the area and see where it would be best to locate a bench.
At the January meeting, town clerk Louise Hammond said she had identified a nice area where the bench could be located on the town council’s piece of the Groe, just past the new trees before the bungalows.
The clerk will contact the family to update them on the situation.
