Caretaker needed to help improve appearance of Llandrindod Wells
A self-employed town caretaker is needed by Llandrindod Wells Town Council to help improve the appearance of the town.
The council has a vacancy for someone to work 10 hours per week from March to September 2025.
The caretaker will be responsible for helping to ensure the streets and public areas are clean and tidy including litter picking around town and in the town parks, light weeding along pavements and in council planters, general maintenance of town council assets such as benches and signs and other general duties.
The person would also be expected to report any issues with fly tipping, vandalism or problems with bins etc to the town council.
Town clerk Jane Johnston said: “This is a part time role with flexible working hours. You will be working outside in all weather conditions and may be asked to work on specific dates to prepare for town events and occasionally alongside volunteers.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to work independently on a flexible basis and be able to plan and organise your workload. Above all, you will need to be the kind of person who takes pride in their work and Llandrindod Wells.”
The council will pay £20 per hour and applicants must have adequate public liability insurance and their own equipment.
To apply email the clerk at clerk@llandrindodtowncouncil.co.uk or call 01597 823116 by 12 noon on March 1.
