PC Robert Hughes West Mercia Police Safer Neighbourhood Officer for Hadley and Leegomery in Telford said the plants had been removed for destruction.
He added that the electrics in the Hadley property had been re-wired, posing a potential serious fire hazard.
An update from the police explained: "Officers have discovered a significant cannabis cultivation operation in Hadley, with the seized plants estimated to be worth thousands of pounds.
"PC Kate Medlam and PC Rob Hughes attended the property following its initial securing by E shift officers.
"The strong odour of cannabis permeated throughout the Hadley area as authorities removed the plants for destruction.
"Police have highlighted the operation as an example of the serious dangers posed by illegal cannabis farms, particularly the hazardous electrical wiring often installed to power growing equipment."
PC Hughes said: "Cannabis cultivation sites like these pose significant risks to public safety. The electrical modifications made to power these operations are typically unsafe and create serious fire hazards for neighbouring properties."
The force said it would continue the investigation into the individuals behind the operation and officers are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
