The zoo is hosting and has begun selling tickets for a special 'Night-Time At The Zoo' event on Saturday, June 7, and is hoping to sell as many tickets as possible with sales going towards helping them through struggling times.

Owner, Scott Adams said the zoo has faced spiralling costs with rises in bills. And, as visitor numbers drop during winter with the zoo closed on weekdays throughout January and for two weeks in February, Exotic Zoo is facing a battle.

The zoo is on a mission to keep prices low and refuses hike its entry costs, and Scott said he and the zoo is committed to being affordable.

Residents from Telford, the wider county, and beyond are being invited to purchase tickets for Exotic Zoo's special one-off event this summer and help keep animals warm and fed this winter.

Tickets can be purchased through a Crowdfunder site which has been set up.

Those who purchase tickets for the event can explore the zoo at night and see what only keepers usually get to see as their nocturnal animals start to become active. Visitors can also enjoy live music at a show stage and a feast through a barbeque.
