Firefighters called to Pontesbury after tree base catches fire
Firefighters were called to a village near Shrewsbury after the base of a tree was on fire.

The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 11.53am reporting the incident on Station Road in Pontesbury.
One fire crew was sent from Shrewsbury Fire Station to the scene.
Firefighters discovered the base of a tree on fire.
Crews used a hose reel jet, small tools and a misting lance to extinguish the fire.
The incident concluded at 2.15pm.
