Sallie Roberts, headteacher at Bomere Heath Church of England Primary School, proudly held the school's Guinness World Record certificate, awarded recently after the school took part in the largest poetry lesson last year.

In collaboration with poet Laura Mucha, more than 125,000 students aged between six and 14 from schools across the UK and beyond came together online to take part in the largest poetry lesson ever held.

It's certainly a wonderful achievement for the village school north of Shrewsbury, and its own piece of history, but there is much more than the world record for this school to be proud of.

Pupils excel in sport, competing in region finals of dodgeball competitions, while they also have many musical talents. Music is extremely popular amongst children, who enjoy playing the recorder and singing in the school's choir.

Bomere Heath is proud to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and has taken part in many STEM-based activities in school and at RAF Cosford.
