Founded by parents Victoria and Allen in 2020, Luna's Legacy Foundation has been helping parents grieve the loss of babies and children who were taken too soon.

It was named after the Market Drayton couple's daughter Luna-Seren Vespa, who was 'born sleeping' on January 4, 2020, at the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Telford.

In a social media post, Victoria thanked the community that has supported her and each other over the years as she announced plans to shut the foundation.

The difficult decision came after Victoria said she found herself “overwhelmed and exhausted,” balancing being a mum-of-four, working full-time and running Luna’s Legacy.

The full Facebook post said: “To all of our wonderful friends and followers, to all those who have helped us raise awareness and money.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closing of the Luna's Legacy Foundation.

“Currently in our fourth, nearly fifth year, we have raised a phenomenal amount of money.

“Over £10,000, way over the original target of just £500.

“I've met some truly amazing people, helped support people new in loss and also those who experienced loss a long time ago.

“Even found the grave of a beautiful boy born sleeping over 40 years ago.

“We've been able to finance the makeover of the Bereavement Suite and buy some important equipment, as well as many community projects.

“We still have the cheque from Luna's ball, which will be given to the Bereavement Midwife when the transition from PRH to Shrewsbury happens, as requested by the team (To ensure the money is spent on the Bereavement Suite, nothing else.)

“We will update you when this happens.”

Victoria continued: “I am still going to be a part of Little Footprints Support Group, which will take over with the Baby Memorial Garden.

“I have been overwhelmed and exhausted, trying to work full time, be a wife, a mum to 4 and run Luna's Legacy.

“I am not the person I was before, and it's time now for me to focus on the new me.

“Finding out who I am now. Finding the time to grow and flourish. Focusing on my beautiful family.

“Thank you to every single person who has supported us over the last four years.

“We couldn't have done it without the support of our fantastic community.

“Always remembering those we have met along the way, and your precious babies.”

Luna’s Legacy has hosted a number of community projects including a baby memorial garden, the Letters to Heaven postbox and the Flag of Hope project, which saw the names of more than 100 babies embroidered on a flag in Market Drayton.
