Social media sensation Hari Harris passed away, aged 29, on Monday after falling down the stairs at his home in Shrewsbury

Family members held Hari’s hand and comforted him at Royal Stoke University Hospital during his final hours.

His brother, Luke, said the incident happened during the early hours of Sunday morning after Hari had enjoyed a night out in Wolverhampton.

Hari had gained thousands of followers across various social media platforms through posting his tips and advice for decorating, and posted recommendations on home renovations and DIY to the ‘best things to buy’ from certain shops, and even videos on cleaning a hot tub.

Hari’s Mum, Jane, said she is “heartbroken” after losing her son.

“He was fun, loving, the most caring person you could ever meet,” she said.

“He adored his nan and grandad who he looked after. He was their main carer up until July.

“I am absolutely heartbroken, I have lost my world. Hari was my world, I have five boys, and Hari was so special to me.

“It was a tragic, freak accident that happened.

“Everybody loved him and we have had so much love and support from everybody. We have lost a very special person.

Influencer and author, Sophie Hinchliffe, known as Mrs Hinch and who has 4.8million followers on Instagram, was one of more than 1,000 who have reacted to a post announcing Hari’s tragic death.

She said: “No. I cannot believe what I am reading this morning.

“Hari, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting you, hugging you, feeling instant comfort from your smile, warmth, beautiful bright eyes and reassuring words.”

Jane said she has been overwhelmed by reaction and supportive messages online from Hari’s fans and followers, and beyond.

“We have been overwhelmed by the love and support, it has been so comforting.

“I don’t think Hari knew how much people loved him or believed in him with the social media.

He would have been absolutely amazed with the response that he has had.

After moving into his house in Shrewsbury, Hari began posting videos online providing his advice on renovations and DIY.

Mum Jane said she was so “proud” of him for what he achieved.

“His favourite thing was hints, tips and tricks, that is his little famous thing that he used to say.

“It grew and grew, and he had people like Mrs Hinch who started following him.

“He went down to London to conventions and it grew and grew.

“We all tried to encourage him to do it as his full-time job, but he loved his job. He worked for Furrows Ford in Shrewsbury and was part of their social media management team.

“He loved doing that but wouldn’t give it up. He wanted to stay with his family in Shrewsbury because we all support each other.”

A post on Hari’s Instagram account (all_things_hari), written by his Mum, announced his tragic death to followers.

His family said Hari sustained a “significant” bleed to the brain with multiple fractures.

Brother, Luke, said he will be sorely missed by everyone who loved him.

“He would walk into a room and light the place up,” he said. “He would put smiles on faces.

“He has been through a lot in his life and had a lot to deal with, but he never let that get to him. He would never be down about anything and was the most positive person you could ever meet.

“He was an unbelievable kid. I never told him much but I am so proud of him.

“I am immensely proud of him, I am not really a social media person, obviously I watched his stuff, but you never really get the gist of it until he passed away, the outpouring and love, and how many lives he touched.

“It was the saddest, cruellest, horrific way of a life ending. He had way more to give in life.

“Life is so fragile and we know that now.”
