Mercedes seized in Telford and man with no driving licence or insurance reported after pulling out on officers

Police have seized a Mercedes car in Telford after a motorist who had no driving licence or insurance pulled out on officers.

Telford and Wrekin Police posted on social media today reporting the seizure by PC Worrall who is a member of Lawley and Overdale's Safer Neighbourhood Team.

A motorist was given advice regarding their manor of driving after pulling out in front of a police car.

And, further checks of the driver revealed that they had no driving licence or insurance.

The white Mercedes was loaded onto a recovery truck and the man was reported for driving offences. 

The post said: "Whilst out on patrol PC 3234 Worrall of the Lawley and Overdale Safer Neighbourhood Team stopped a vehicle to speak to the driver after he pulled out in front of the police car. 

"Following words of advice regarding his manor of driving further checks were carried out which revealed the driver had no driving licence and no insurance. 

"Consequently his vehicle was seized and he has been reported for the relevant driving offences."
