Police investigating arson after car 'set alight' in broad daylight on Telford driveway

Police are appealing for information after a car was reportedly 'set alight' in Telford.

Emergency services were called to reports of a car fire on Rhodes Avenue in Malinslee, Telford at around 11.10am on Wednesday (February 12).

The vehicle, which Shropshire Fire and Rescue said was parking on a driveway, had reportedly been set alight. 

Now, officers from West Mercia Police are investigating and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "At 11.10am on Wednesday, February 12, a Dacia Sandero was parked on Rhodes Avenue when the rear of the vehicle was set alight. 

"If you have any information about this crime, including CCTV or ring doorbell footage then please let us know."
