Police in Minsterley were appealing for information after being flooded with reports from residents over a group of nuisance youths.

In a message to residents around midday on Thursday, PCSO Sarah Edwards said: "We are experiencing a high level of reports from Orchid Meadow, some from Oak Drive and Callow Lane but primarily Orchid Meadow.

"A number of residents are sadly being subjected to door knocking, door kicking, derogatory comments, foul language and being a nuisance."

PCSO Edwards went on to say police were aware it was a "group of youths" partaking in the behaviour, and were appealing for residents to share CCTV or doorbell camera footage with the force to help identify them.

She added: "We can not allow this to go on and will continue to patrol the area to get the message out that this behaviour will not be tolerated."

Following the reports, police were also warning residents that such behaviour from family members could impact their tenancies.

PCSO Edwards said: "Police are also working closely with other agencies on this issue. We want tenants to understand that there is a potential this could risk their tenancy if it is found to be family members causing these issues of anti social behaviour."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101.
