Much Wenlock paedophile, 29, avoids prison after being caught with child sex abuse images for a second time
A paedophile who was caught with child sex abuse images for the second time has avoided prison.

Ryan Smith, aged 29, received a knock on the door from police after officers were tipped off by the National Crime Agency that Smith might be in possession of indecent images.
Shrewsbury Crown Court was told that Smith was “difficult” with officers before he let them into his home, where they seized his iPhone. They also seized quantities of ketamine and MDMA consistent with personal use when they visited him in January 2022.
The phone was analysed by experts and found to have 64 indecent images, including 19 of category A depicting the most depraved kind of child sex abuse.
Smith, of Poplar Cottages, Much Wenlock, made no comment when interviewed by police about the discovery.
