Members recently considered the applications for Pantywaun, Maesmawr and 13 and 18 Penmaes in the town.

The Pantywaun proposal is to erect a garage at the property.

The application said the property occupies a corner plot which a Welsh Water Surface Water Sewer runs through the property from east to west. This is a 225mm concrete pipe which carries a legal easement of 3.0m each side of the pipe (6m) total.

Therefore the proposed garage can only be built in one location on the plot, which would be perpendicular to the boundary of Ty Claren.

Both applications for 13 and 18 Penmaes are for the erection of single storey extensions.

Councillors agreed to recommend approval of each of the three applications.

Powys County Council will make the final decisions.
