Police appeal after pub attack leaves victim with bleed on the brain

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pub attack left a man with a bleed on the brain.

The incident took place at Ye Old Vaults in Oswestry in the early hours of Sunday, February 9.

A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "We are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched to the ground in Oswestry on Sunday, February 9.

"The assault happened around 1am at Ye Old Vaults on Church Street. The victim was approached by a man who hit him in the face, resulting in him falling back and hitting his head.

"This led to the victim suffering a bleed on the brain. The suspect left the pub after the attack.

"Officers investigating would like to hear from anybody who saw the assault happen.
