Haydn festival set to hit the right notes on its 31st year
A festival celebrating the life and work of a classical Austrian composer is to return to a Shropshire market town later this year.

Last year's English Haydn Festival in Bridgnorth was the 30th annual celebration in the town of the famed chamber music musician.
While the town has no direct link with Joseph Haydn (1732-1809), the festival was set up by violinist John Reid in collaboration with Professor Robbins Landon with the intention of providing live performances of classical music to a rural community.
Organiser Mike Proudman said this year's festival will once again feature the English Haydn Orchestra and for this year, a they have added a choral concert on the Sunday.
The festival takes place from June 11 – June 15 and kicks off at 12.30pm when the English Haydn Piano trio will be performing at St Mary's Church.
The church will also play host to an evening concert that day featuring soloists Eva Caballero on flute and Crispian Steele-Perkins on trumpet.
The festival continues on Thursday with a matinee performance at St Mary's of The Revolutionary Wind Machine on period instruments.
The church plays host to the Consone Quartet on the Thursday evening, and on the Friday there will be a matinee performance of the Consone Quarter with the Haydn Wind Band.
There further concerts at Acton Round Church at the weekend, with the festival's grand finale choral concert taking place on Sunday, June 15 at St Mary's Church at both noon and 7pm.
