Police seize Ford vehicle suspected of being used for criminal activity from car park in Oswestry

Police have seized a vehicle in Oswestry that was "suspected of being used in criminal activity".

West Mercia Police PCSO in the border town, Robert Hamer said the Ford car was leaking fuel and posing a "significant safety hazard".

The vehicle which had four flat tyres was discovered by a local council parking warden and loaded onto a recovery truck.

Police are investigating whether the car has been involved in any criminal activity.

A post on the force's Neighbourhood Matters page said: "The police have seized a vehicle suspected of being used in criminal activity. 

"The vehicle was discovered in the central car park in Oswestry by a town council parking warden. It had four flat tyres and was leaking petrol, posing a significant safety hazard.

"Authorities are investigating further to gather more details about the vehicle's involvement in crime.

"Residents are advised to report any suspicious activities to local authorities."
