Gaza healthcare crisis protest outside Llandrindod Wells Hospital
Members of Radnor Palestine Links gathered outside Llandrindod Wells hospital last Saturday to protest the ongoing healthcare crisis in Gaza, Palestine caused by war

Protesters wanted to highlight that if our own local hospital in Llandrindod Wells was in Gaza it would now be a pile of rubble, with its patients, doctors and nurses buried in its ruins.
The protesters handed out leaflets and engaged in positive discussions with members of the public. They encouraged concerned citizens to donate to Medical Aid for Palestinians which is one of the few organisations still managing to operate on the ground in Gaza and who are in desperate need of emergency medical supplies.
“Thankfully for the people of Gaza, a ceasefire has been called, but that does not mean that their struggle for peace, justice and self-determination is over. All their hospitals and medical facilities have been destroyed, and even as we speak, some doctors are still being held in prison” said protestor, Diane Pearson.
“And we are not alone in our concerns here in Radnorshire,” added Radnor Palestine Links member, June Coveney. “On the same day as our protest here in Mid Wales, 175,000 people demonstrated on the streets of London for a free Palestine.”
