Francesca Hughes, 24, was driving along the A49 back to her home in Ludlow last Thursday when suddenly objects fell from above and severely smashed her windscreen.

Glass shattered and spread around the dashboard, and covered the startled trainee teacher who initially thought that a branch may have fallen from a tree.

However, police have reported that it was 'unknown youths' who were throwing stones onto the highway from Fishmore Road - situated above the major 'A' road that runs through Shropshire.

Francesca Hughes, 24. was one of three motorists who had objects thrown at their vehicle by 'unknown youths'.

Francesca was the third motorist to report the incident to police, and no arrests have since been made - at time of writing.

And, fortunately, she was not injured in the terrifying incident.
