Pedestrian taken to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries after being hit by van in Telford
A pedestrian has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a van in Telford.

The incident happened on the Stirchley Interchange, in Telford, yesterday (Wednesday, February 19) at around 10.45pm.
The man, said to be in his 40s, was hit by a Vauxhall Combo van as he was crossing the road.
West Mercia Police confirmed he had had “significant injuries” and was taken to hospital. He is now in serious but stable condition, police said.
The driver of the van was not injured and no arrests have been made as an investigation into the incident has begun.

West Mercia Police have now launched an appeal for more information, and they’d like anyone who witnessed the crash to come forward.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a van and a pedestrian in Stirchley, Telford last night (Wednesday 19 February).
“A man in his 40s was struck by a Vauxhall Combo van as he was crossing the road on the Stirchley interchange roundabout at around 10.45pm.
“Unfortunately, the man sustained significant injuries in the collision and was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. The driver of the van was not injured, and no arrests have been made.
“An investigation into incident is ongoing and we would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage to come forward and help with our enquiries.”
