Westwood, 24, was found guilty of 26 charges of sexual abuse and rape at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Tuesday, December 10, after a four week trial.

However, the former Sex Education and Doctors actor was given bail until his sentencing which infuriated his victims and their families.

Now it has emerged that Westwood was arrested for breaking his bail conditions and locked up last week.

Wolverhampton Crown Court confirmed Westwood now has an extra charge on his litany of crimes which is "breaking bail conditions".

The actor is due to be sentenced for his crimes on Tuesday (February 25) and could be jailed for up 15 years.

Westwood, of Holybush Road, Albrighton, was found guilty of 26 sex crimes relating to a girl he abused for seven years, a boy, and three pupils he attacked whilst giving acting lessons.

His crimes include sexual assault and rape. His trial lasted more than a month with his victims being forced to give evidence, many of which left the court in floods of tears.

Westwood, who gave acting lessons to teenage girls, abused his pupils as well as threatening to sue them for not attending his sick classes, during which he demanded they recite scenes from classical literature naked.

Believing he was destined to be a star Westwood regularly shared pictures from his life filming for various series, including Netflix's Sex Education.

A friend of one of his victims said: "He should never have been given bail in the first place. But at least he is behind bars at last. He got to spend Christmas at home when he should have been in jail.

"I'm sure all his victims are happy such a manipulative man cannot damage their lives anymore."

Westwood will be sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Tuesday, February 25.
