A free session to raise awareness of Child Sexual Exploitation will be hosted by Powys County Council, in conjunction with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation

The session aims to give parents and community members the chance to learn more about child sexual exploitation, show how it can happen, what the risks are, and what support is available.

The session will take place online on two occasions, with both having the same content:

The first session will be on Wednesday, March 5 from 5:30pm until 6:30pm, with the second session on Wednesday, March 19 from 5:30pm until 6:30pm

Councillor Sandra Davies, Cabinet Member for Future Generations, said: “Child Sexual Exploitation is a form of child abuse. It can have devastating and long-lasting effects on children and their families. This session aims to raise awareness of this form of abuse, within our communities.

“We want to support our residents in seeking help and taking action.”

Anyone wishing to attend, will need to register before the session to receive the link. To register, please email practice.development@powys.gov.uk.
