The Love2Stay resort, owned by Salop Leisure, has a Biotop natural outdoor swimming pool, which is increasingly popular with swimmers during the winter.
The chemical-free pool is open to local people as well as those staying at the luxury touring and glamping resort.
Cold water swimming is claimed to reduce stress, improve mental health, fitness, metabolism and circulation, boost self-esteem and immunity, decrease inflammation, assist mindfulness and even leave swimmers with radiant skin.
The benefits have been extolled by Dutchman Wim Hof, known as the Iceman.
Salop Leisure’s joint managing director Mark Bebb said: “Cold water swimming is known for improving mental wellbeing, benefitting menopausal women, reduces chronic inflammation and helps to control breathing.
“The natural Biotop pool at Love2Stay is a fantastic resource for outdoor swimmers and anybody interested in cold water immersion.”
Cold water swimming at Love2Stay is for people aged 16 years and above and swimmers are advised to research the risks and effects before entering the pool, especially in chilly weather.
