No plea in Llandrindod Wells attempted murder case as the defendant was ill
The case against a man accused of attempted murder in Llandrindod Wells has been adjourned


Police officers received a call from the ambulance service, requesting assistance at Hillcrest Rise on Saturday, December 14 2024, where a man was reported to have sustained serious injuries
Ricco Douglas from Pershore Road, Birmingham has been charged with attempted murder and was due to enter a plea at Newport Crown Court on Friday, February 21.
But the court was told the 25 year-old was too ill to attend or to leave his cell to appear via a virtual link.So no pleas could be taken.
A trial date has been set for June 16 2025, with a time estimate of five days and His Honour Judge Williams has reserved the case for himself.
The case was adjourned for another plea and trial preparation hearing on March 21.
Douglas remains remanded in custody.
