Duke of Edinburgh Award Success in Llandrindod Wells squadron
Four cadets from 579 (Llandrindod Wells) RAF Air Cadets squadron were awarded their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award Badges this week

This is the culmination of a variety of activities including skills such as photography, digital art, cycle maintenance and chess.
Physical activities including walking, football, gym work and aerial skills as well as volunteering in a variety of capacities.
All the cadets undertook a two-day expedition in the Wye Valley area and successfully completed the route and self sufficiency tasks while camping on a very cold night.
These cadets join others who have successfully concluded their achievements at Bronze and Silver level.
The squadron now boasts eight bronze level badges and two silver. Cadets start by completing the pre D of E badges when they first join the squadron and then at the age of 13 once they enter Year 9 they can enrol on the scheme to do their Bronze Award.
There are at present a group of seven cadets who have started their bronze award and five on the silver award. Two cadets have almost completed their gold awards which is the highest level that canbe attained.
