Emergency services rushed to three-car crash on A49 in Church Stretton

Emergency services were called to a three-car crash on the A49 this afternoon.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Services received a call reporting the crash in Marsh Brook, Church Stretton, at 1:21pm today (Saturday, February 22)

Firefighters used small gear to make all vehicles safe and cleared a fuel spill using environmental grab packs. 

Also attending to the crash was the Land Ambulance Service with casualties in the care of paramedics

A spokesperson for the Church Stretton Fire Station shared an image of the fire services on-site and shared an update on the official Facebook page

They said: “Upon arrival there were no persons trapped so we made the area safe and with the help of the local police team we managed to get the vehicles cleared off the A49 so traffic could start moving normally again. 

“A RTC incident dealt with quickly where good local emergency teams are working alongside each other to get the situation sorted.”

The incident was announced as concluded at 1:36pm.
