A pervert pensioner who had “horrific” images of child sex abuse has claimed he is not sexually attracted to children.

Anthony Davies, aged 77, racked up a huge stash of 3,067 indecent images of children over more than seven years between May 2015 and November 2022.
Shrewsbury Crown Court was told police received intelligence that someone might be in possession of child sex abuse pictures at Davies’s old address in Childs Ercall, near Market Drayton.
Officers attended his home and carried out a search. They seized two USB sticks, a hard drive and a computer.
Digital analysis showed there were a total of 818 category A images - depicting the most depraved kind of child sex abuse, 597 category B images and 1,652 category C images on his devices.
Prosecutor Danny Smith said the stash included “the most horrific abuse of children”, including one and two-year-olds being sexually abused.
