Vauxhall car seized by police in Whitchurch after being found without tax or insurance

Police have seized a vehicle in Whitchurch after it was discovered without tax or insurance.

PCSO Jamie Robinson posted on West Mercia Police's Neighbourhood Matters page on Saturday reporting the seizure near Whitchurch town centre.

The police officer reminded residents of the consequences if vehicles are not taxed or insured.

A Vauxhall car was loaded onto a recovery truck and taken away after it was found during patrols.

The post by PCSO Robinson said: "Whitchurch Safer Neighbourhood Team have seized this vehicle close to Whitchurch town centre. This was following checks conducted by officers on patrol which showed the vehicle to be without tax or insurance.

"Anti Social Driving is one of the priorities highlighted by Whitchurch Town Council under the Local Policing Community Charter.

"Any such issues of this nature can be reported to West Mercia Police online at www.westmercia.police.uk, or via 101."
