The official opening of Alisha-Jayne Dance Academy's new premises on the Monkmoor Industrial Estate last Saturday marked a major milestone in its growth and commitment to the community.
Not only will the new studio provide a space for its dancers and more students, but a place for community groups or other organisations to utilise.
After being founded more than 12 years ago, the dance academy that teaches children and adults tap, jazz, ballet, street dance, contemporary and more was down to just 12 members after the Covid-19 pandemic, and took a brave decision to move from its base in Wem to Shrewsbury.

The academy has rented school and community halls for more than three years, but has finally been able to move into its own home.
Mayor of Shrewsbury, David Vasmer joined students and bosses to open the dance academy's new studio.
