Farm machines and equipment up for grabs in dispersal sale as farmer retires after 50 years

A sale of farm equipment will take place after the retirement of a farmer.

The dispersal sale will include farm implements, machinery, workshop tools and livestock equipment.

The sale at Walcot Farm, Chirbury, near Montgomery, will take place on Saturday, March 15, and is being organised by Halls auctioneers for Keith Jones, of R. & K. Jones.

Mr Jones is retiring after more than 50 years at the farm.

Mr Jones and his family have farmed at Walcot Farm since the 1970s and will be offering a wide selection of machinery and implements for sale, which will be held live and online through the MartEye auction platform.

The sale will begin at 10am with 200 lots of workshop tools and livestock handling and penning equipment, followed by the farm machinery, implements, trailers and tractors at 12pm.

Highlights include a New Holland FX58 forage harvester, a Massey Ferguson 7618 Dyna-6, a Massey Ferguson 6475 Dyna-6, a Massey Ferguson 135, a Manitou MLT 735 loader, a Land Rover Defender 90, a Thomas Bobcat 133-S and a Dell Engineering mobile out of parlour feeder.

The are also another 50 lots of machinery, implements, trailers and trailed equipment in the auction.
