Ludlow Chamber of Trade and Commerce relaunched the loyalty card scheme on Valentines Day.

Previously known as the 'Only in Ludlow' card, it’s now rebranded as the 'Love Ludlow' loyalty card.

The idea behind the switch is to build on the brand that the Chamber uses to help promote the town as part of the Ludlow Guide.

The aim of the loyalty card is to encourage people to buy local and support independent shops in Ludlow.

Customers get hold of the loyalty cards from any participating shop and the card is stamped every time they spend more than a pound in any of those shops.

Once 20 stamps are complete people can hand the card into any of the shops to get entered into the prize hamper draw.

The loyalty card was rebranded as part of a Valentine's Day initiative.

The scheme is open to any business that’s a member of the Chamber of Trade for free.

There are four quarterly bumper prize draws for hampers throughout the year, each full of goodies donated by participating businesses.

More information and a list of participating shops is available at www.theludlowguide.co.uk.

Ian Evans, Chair of Ludlow Chamber said: "I’m so pleased that members of the Chamber have managed to pull this together, the loyalty card is very popular and although it’s not significant sums of money people need to spend, it’s the doing so that counts. Being a business owner can be tough, so every bit helps."

Any business wanting to be part of the scheme can contact Jodie Deakin, Secretary of the Ludlow Chamber of Trade by e-mail ludlowchamberoftrade@gmail.com.
