Joey Doran, aged 56, drove home from the pub he had been drinking at and collided with a parked car in Wilderley Crescent, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, on August 23 last year.
Telford Magistrates Court was told on Tuesday (February 25) that Doran’s neighbour was “quite unhappy” about what he had done and an altercation ensued.
Doran, who works as a project manager, assaulted his neighbour but also sustained a head injury and ended up being taken to hospital.
He told police he had been drinking at the pub, drove home and knew that “at some point” he hit a parked car.
