The tiled mural now adorning a wall at Newport Community Library features painted scenes from around the town including St. Nicholas Church, the 15th century Guildhall and the canal.
The eye-catching mural was created during a craft session with a difference at Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s Newport day centre.
The crafting session was enjoyed by 22 of the day centre members, who were able to take on the task thanks to a donation of £300 from the Newport Rotary Lite Club.

Jennifer Kelleher, education manager at ceramics company Craven Dunnill Jackfield, visited the day centre to oversee the craft session.
Once the mural had been fired it was framed by a local Men's Shed group.
