The Shrewsbury-based company has snapped up Royal Cars in Telford, to add to Central Taxis in Wolverhampton which was snapped up last autumn and Telford Taxis which was brought on board earlier in the year.

It means the company, which has its operations centre at Battlefield Enterprise Park, now has more than 1,100 drivers on its books.

Cindy Wilday of Go Carz said: "We have acquired a number of new firms into our portfolio in recent months.

"One of these being Royal Cars in Telford which expands our capacity in what is a growing town going through a very exciting period.

"It is essential that visitors to the town can access transport to visit the wonderful attractions here.

"Also this means we will have more capacity to transport our dedicated customers to their places of work, on nights out and on day trips.

"As always we are looking for more drivers and would urge anyone looking for a self employed job opportunity to get in touch."

She added: "We have also recently acquired Central Taxis in Wolverhampton and Telford Taxis.

"This trio of acquisitions has created a recruitment drive for more than 60 new drivers.

"As a company we invest thousands of pounds back into the business to attract the very best drivers and market them in order to make their careers successful."

The latest deals continue a growth spree which saw the company buy up Central Taxis last year. It is the biggest taxi operator in Shropshire.

Mrs Wilday added: “These deals brought in an additional ten cars from Royal Cars which we acquired in July and an additional 25 from Central Wolverhampton through the acquisition which happened at the end of last year.

“These deals mean we now have more than 1,100 drivers and still need more drivers and have an active recruitment campaign on-going in order to attract drivers to fulfill the need demands of our customers.”
