Telford-based ITR started life in 2000 as an IT rental company, but has since added to the line of products and services it delivers.

Most recently it has expanded into full event management services, providing equipment and personnel to support events such as product launches, and has added significant equipment including an interactive LED screen which is among the first of its resolution in the country.

The company hosted an event at Telford's International Centre to demonstrate the latest equipment, inviting customers to the town to showcase the company's capabilities.

Managing director Sharon Reynolds said it was intended to demonstrate the company's shift from being a "box-shifter" which simply provided IT and audio visual equipment for hire, into one which could also help deliver showcase events.

"We wanted to open our doors to our industry," she said. "We wanted to let them see what we can do.

"Our clients do big events and have massive launches going on, and now they have seen us and we have come away with interviews about what we do.

"They see their account managers who have been telling them about us and what we can do, now they have seen it for themselves and we can have more of their business."

She added: "We are consultative now rather than transactional. We do everything from corporate training, conferences, exhibitions, product launches. It's any short-term event or project from consultation to providing equipment, right through to project managing the event.

"We are demonstrating our creative side."

The company was founded in Shifnal in 2000, when it had six staff and a turnover of about £500,000. Now it has grown to a staff of 75 and turnover of about £5 million from its complex on Halesfield in Telford, and Ms Reynolds said she expects that to continue growing in the wake of the latest shift in the company's offering.

"This is the next peak for us," she said. "We are estimating within two years another £2 million of growth and investment in our premises locally."
